Location: Beach Club Operations / Great Harbour Cay

Reports To: Director of Maintenance and Safety

Employment Type: Full-Time/ Shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Position Summary

The Storekeeper is responsible for the control, receipt, storage, organization, and distribution of materials, provisions, and technical supplies to ensure operational continuity, inventory accuracy, cost control, and compliance with safety and sanitation standards. The role supports maintenance, construction, hospitality, and marine operations by safeguarding company assets and ensuring efficient material flow.

2.     Scope and responsibilities:

 

General Control

  • Review operational communications, delivery schedules, and special event requirements.

  • Monitor previous day’s consumption reports and verify critical stock levels (Food, Beverage, Hotel, Technical/Engineering).

  • Conduct daily physical inspections of all storage areas, including chef containers, ensuring cleanliness, proper temperature control, safety, and secure access.

Receiving Provisions

  • Review purchase orders and provision list prior to deliveries.

  • Review BOL, Manifest and all documents related to provision barge.

  • Prepare receiving areas and coordinate receiving personnel.

  • Collect and verify delivery documentation (PO, invoice, packing list, health certificates).

  • Inspect goods for damage, expiration dates, and temperature compliance.

  • Perform physical counts (weight, units, cases) and document discrepancies with remarks and photographic evidence.

  • Enter received goods into the inventory system (when applicable), including batch numbers, expiry dates, and storage locations.

Storage & Organization

  • Classify inventory by department and assign appropriate storage locations.

  • Apply FIFO and FEFO principles to ensure proper stock rotation.

  • Label all items with date, batch, and PO reference.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain and update inventory records regularly.

  • Conduct cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.

  • Monitor expiration dates and identify slow-moving or overstock items.

  • Process adjustments only with management approval.

Issuing & Internal Transfers

  • Receive and verify approved requisition forms.

  • Pick, prepare, and dispatch materials accurately.

  • Record all issuances and obtain receiving signatures.

  • Process and document interdepartmental transfers.

Loss, Waste & Compliance Control

  • Record breakage, spoilage, and expired goods.

  • Separate damaged items and report to management.

  • Ensure compliance with USPH standards and internal safety procedures.

  • Monitor storage temperatures, labeling, chemical control, and sanitation practices.

  • Maintain documentation available for audits or inspections.

Operational Reporting

  • Prepare inventory, receiving, consumption, critical stock, and expiry control reports as required.

  • Report short shipment.

3.     Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar warehouse or inventory control position.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Ability to manage documentation, email correspondence, and follow-up communications.

4.     Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Understanding of FIFO and FEFO inventory principles.

  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple departments.

  • Basic knowledge of safety, sanitation, and warehouse best practices.

5.     Physical Requirements

·       Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials, boxes, and supplies as required in warehouse operations.

·       Capable of standing for extended periods, climbing stairs, and performing manual handling tasks.

·       Physically able to perform operational duties associated with storage, receiving, and material distribution in a safe and efficient manner.

6.     Flexibility

• Assisting with food preparation, storage, and kitchen operations
• Working effectively with the kitchen team during service

• Strong understanding of kitchen cleanliness and food safety

• Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
